On December 1, 2025, DCN joined Gen.EU, an ambitious international project designed to engage young Europeans under 26 through compelling digital content on the issues that matter most to them.
What is Gen.EU?
Gen.EU aims to actively engage young Europeans by creating and sharing attractive, reliable, multilingual content focused on key issues shaping their lives: housing and cost of living, employment and the future of work, education opportunities, climate action, health and well-being, civic participation, and gender perspectives.
The project leverages platforms popular among young people—including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Spotify, and Discord—to foster dynamic digital communities and cross-border dialogue.
DCN's Role: International Events
As part of the Gen.EU consortium, DCN will organize two major international youth events that bring together young content creators, activists, and changemakers from across Europe to explore digital storytelling as a powerful tool for civic participation and cross-border collaboration. Details about the events, including dates, locations, and how to participate, will be announced soon!
The Consortium
Gen.EU is led by Telex (Hungary) and implemented by an international consortium that includes OKO.press (Poland), Forum Apulum (Romania), AFP (France), Dossier (Austria), El Orden Mundial (Spain), CSM, and DCN.
Content will be produced in Hungarian, Polish, Romanian, French, German, Spanish, and English on Genzette.
Project Duration & Impact
Over the 14-month project duration (until January 31, 2027), the consortium will produce:
- More than 1,620 short videos
- 1,500 Instagram posts
- 60 longer video materials
- 72 podcast episodes
The goal is to reach at least 3 million young Europeans with Gen.EU content by the end of the project.
Gen.EU content will appear on the consortium partners' Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Spotify channels, and Discord communities starting February 2026.
