On Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September, in the framework of the 86th Thessaloniki International Fair, the DCN Global, the AD&PRLab of Panteion University and YET, are organizing the #DisinfoHackathon, an innovation competition, with the aim of creating an ecosystem with the participation of professionals from media, technology and communication to tackle disinformation in different fields and by creating and exploiting digital tools.
The goal of the innovation competition is to offer the participants an experiential experience of collaboration in the development of collaborative solutions with the contribution of technology and digital standard applications. Each thematic challenge has been designed in cooperation with experts and is about proposing ways that innovation can help fight misinformation in journalism, health, religion and advertising.
The two-day Disinfo Hackathon is organized by DCN Global, the AD & PR LAB of Panteion University and YET, with funding from U.S. Department of State, and with the support of the American Embassy, under the auspices of the Ministry of Development. The program is implemented with the support and cooperation of: Elevate Greece, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Found.ation, Social innov, Industry Disruptors Game Changers ID-GC, Inside Story, NBG Business Seeds of the National Bank, Envolve Entrepreneurship, Thessaloniki Tech Lab, EduAct.
