We are launching an NFT Collection of kids' drawings to help children who have been affected by the war in Ukraine. All proceeds will go to Voices of Children, a charity with the stated mission of giving every child who has suffered from the war in Ukraine the psychological help they need.
DCN members on the ground collected drawings from kids in Ukraine, reflecting their feelings and emotions while living with the spectrum of war. The children's artwork was turned into an NFT Collection that will be auctioned off to raise funds and draw attention to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
The stories of the drawings
Zarina, 9 years old, recently moved from the Kyiv Region to the Czech Republic. She escaped from the combat zone and has nowhere to return. In the picture, she depicts her mother sitting by her bed every night until she falls asleep. Although she is safe, she is still afraid that the shelling could start again and she will have to hide in the basement.
Karyna, 9 years old, is from Luhansk oblast. She has called her drawing “My native village.”
Dasha, 15 years old. At the age of 9, she met war in a small town near Debaltseve in Donetsk. Her parents didn’t care much about her, so she survived the period of active combat with her friends. Her mother died of alcohol abuse and Dasha was sent to an orphanage. At the age of 10, Dasha was adopted and taken to a small town in western Ukraine. For many years, she would shiver at the sound of fireworks and run to her new mother crying that the war had begun. Now, the big war has started. Dasha drew this picture in the corridor during one of the air alarms.
Ivan, 10 years old, from Kyiv. Due to the war, Ivan and his family have fled to Poland. He misses his dad and waits for their reunion. His dad stayed in the Ukraine, defending the city. The picture is called "We'll do it."
Anya, 9 years old, was born in Sevastopol, moved to Kyiv in 2014 due to annexation of the Crimea, and now temporarily lives in Truskavets due to the war. The picture is called "Picnic". The picture shows a rainbow island, where only good people have access. When a person arrives at the island, their favourite food appears on the table. A table is necessary so that people are never hungry.

About Voices of Children
The Voices of Children charity, headquartered in Sloviansk, in the Donetsk region, was established in 2015 to support through art and other forms of therapy children in Eastern Ukraine in response to ongoing conflicts. While some staff has managed to evacuate and are working on training volunteers, many still reside in areas under siege amid constant shelling by Russian forces. Their mission and action, however, are very much alive.
