The Disinformation Diaries: DCN Global Launches a New YouTube Series on Disinformation

27 April 2026

Disinformation is one of the biggest threats to democracy today.

But how does it actually work?

And what can we do about it?

That question sits at the heart of The Disinformation Diaries, DCN Global's new YouTube series launching today. Each episode, journalist and educator Alexandre Le Voci Sayad travels to meet an expert from a different country and field of knowledge. Together, they work through the complex puzzle of how false information spreads, why it resonates with so many people, and what we can actually do about it.

The format is deliberately open and conversational, because the phenomenon of disinformation deserves more than talking points. It deserves a real exchange between people who have spent years thinking seriously about it, from different disciplines, different cultures and different corners of the world.

For the first episode, Alexandre traveled to Tallinn, Estonia, to meet Dr. Gernot Wolfram, Professor of Arts and Media Management at Macromedia University. Their conversation centers on a question that rarely makes it into mainstream debates about disinformation: how does pop culture, whether film, music or storytelling, either tackle or reinforce false narratives?

The first episode is now available!  Watch it and share your feedback with us!

The Disinformation Diaries is a DCN Global concept. The series is free and available on YouTube.
